Comparison of screen refresh speed between a new Sony Reader PRS-505 and an old iLiad after a screen repair. Seems pretty similar, but iLiad is a few frames slower (about 15%). Since iLiad’s screen driving waveform is obviously very different (there’s a slight “blink” at the end of the refresh), it’s pretty hard to determine whether it uses a Vizplex matrix too.

Comparison of screen refresh speed between a 1+ year old Sony Reader PRS-500 and an old iLiad after a screen repair. Looks almost exactly the same, so they’ve most definitely haven’t switched to Vizplex.
