Why is the Kindle products over priced?
An e-book reader should not cost more than £150 at the most and the DX should not cost more than £200. But Amazon is selling the DX at £400 when you add on the taxes and shipping.
If they were selling this in the UK they? would have to display the price with taxes included.
I won’t buy one from Amazon, instead am looking to get one second hand off Ebay.
The drm is making this product shitty. After you bought the book you have no rights to it. They may delete your content remotely without telling you why. It’s just long term leasing of books. But? you don’t own the books you buy. I was shocked at first but it’s true. Apart from that, kindle is great!
I don’t blame these products to be motivations of greed, greed seems to be the new trend these days, However, I’m not going to support it until the kindle meets the consumers demands, which might be another year or two. If? they don’t, I’m sure another company will seize the oppurtunity and put the Kindle out of business.
I already gave Amazon some constructive criticism salesman! They need to include major pdf support and lower their price if they want to survive the next ebook reader rising. Personally, I feel that the minds behind the Kindle were well aware of the PDF? support demand, but like Ipod guys and apple, they had money on their mind, so why not make it difficult to use mp3’s or pdf’s and make a fortune off of an itunes store or in this case, $10 digital books.
So go find one that meets your personal desires for that and stop ripping products that don’t meet your needs. Not only is it a pointless futile exercise but it makes you sound childish.? Or better yet why don’t you write something CONSTRUCTIVE to Amazon about what they should do. You sound like a brat whining about a product you don’t like, can’t afford (apparently) and don’t want anyway. If everyone did that on youtube this website would suck.
Stop trying to act as a cover for this scam. You’re not fooling anyone! How can you defend the Kindle 2 when it has a $259 price tag supposedly a $100 discount from the original price, sounds like a scam to me. That’s even more than a PS3! The PDF support is lousy and well intended by the money hoarders behind the Amazon Kindle. What we need is an ebook reader that can store the customer’s entire? ebook collection, excellent PDF support, and a reasonable price tag. Pure Common sense
I’m not a kindle dx salesman, I’m a kindle 2 customer. If you don’t like it then by all means don’t buy it. it’s your use of the term boycott that is messed up. And it sounds also like your cranky at most of the advance tech out there for not being exactly what you want. But because it doesn’t mean your ideal and is ‘too expensive’ you call for a? boycott of the product? Strikes me as being very immature and childish. But whatever
Listen, I’m a consumer, and your obviously a salesman for the Kindle DX or involved with the company product.? Everyone has been looking for a digital PDF reader that doesn’t hurt their eyes like computer screens, what you guys did was exploit that need by creating an overpriced digital library system that purposely excludes pdf support so we can pay $10 + for your crappy digital books. Kinda like apple with its itunes scam, overpriced w/ crappy headphones. The kindle deserves to flop!
So because the PDF support isn’t? great (though improving) and because you can’t buy one, you should boycott the product? Would you then boycott Mercedes Benz or Alienware computers because you can’t afford them?
Boycott the amazon kindle for two reasons: crappy PDF ebook reader support and the outrageous? price tag, it will be years before I give into this product which is currently unreasonable!
